美国机场海关-假期-回忆

Around Christmas one winter,I went to Vancouver with two cousins.I had never been out of the country before.That is why I found out for the first time that we should not take too many things with us when we come back.

在圣诞节前后的一个冬天，我和我的两位表兄弟(表姐妹)去(加拿大的)温哥华。之前，我从来没有出过国。所以这是我第一次了解(发现)到不应该带太多(的东西)回国。

During the vacation,we went to the world famous mall and shopped like crazy.We brought back loads of souvenirs with us.A lot of items were nicely packaged in pretty boxes and gift-wraps.At that time the thought of going through customs never entered my mind.

在假期的期间，我们去了世界著名的购物中心，并且疯狂地采购。我们买了很多纪念品，(其中)有很多东西都用漂亮的盒子和包装纸与彩带包装起来。在那个时候，过海关这件事完全不存在(进入)我的脑海中。

Before getting out of the airport,the customs inspector checked our bags and told us that we should have filled out a declaration form with a list of the things we bought,along with the value of each item.Now when I go to another country,that experience keeps me from buying too much stuff.

我出机场之前，海关检查员检查了我们的箱子，并(告诉我们)要我们填写一份申报表，把我们买的东西(的名称)及每样东西的价格都填写上去。如今，当我去别的国家时，那次的经历使我不敢(避免)再买太多的东西。
