意思是：the economic benefits of a film

指电影、戏剧等因卖票而获得的经济效益，即“票房”

虽然含有“票”字，但它的英文表达中并没有ticket

“ticket office”通常表示“售票处”

The movie is a huge hit at the box office.

这部电影的票房相当不错。

“huge hit”在这里指巨大成功

相反，

This movie was a big flop at the box office.

这部电影的票房太惨淡了。

“flop”经常指作品、演出等的失败

再来看一组对话：

那部新电影怎么样?

B:Its box-office receipts have amounted to over 20 million yuan.

它的票房收入已经超过了两千万元。

如果想表达“票房飘红”，可以这么说：

xxx (片名) succeeded at the box office.
