　　Roy : I like playing basketball and swimming.

　　Roy :我喜欢打篮球和游泳。

　　Richard : How good are you at basketball?

　　Richard : 你篮球打的好吗?

　　Roy : I’m not that bad, and I can swim pretty well too. What about you?

　　Roy :打的不坏，我游泳游得也不错，你呢?

　　Richard : I enjoy swimming, but I prefer playing golf. I’m pretty good at it.

　　Richard : 我喜欢游泳，但是我更喜欢打高尔夫。我相当擅长打高尔夫。

　　Roy : Really? What’s your handicap?

　　Roy :真的吗?你差点多少?

　　Richard : It’s 4 on our local golf course.

　　Richard : 在我们当地的高尔夫课上是4杆。

　　Roy : I am impressed.

　　Roy :太棒了。

　　Are You a Football Fan?

　　Carrie : Are you a football fan?

　　Hagrid : Yes, I go to the stadium whenever there’s a good game, and if I can't buy a ticket, I watch the game on TV.

　　Hagrid : 嗯，一有精彩的比赛了，我就要去体育馆看。要是没买到票，我就在电视上看。

　　Carrie : Is the ticket expensive? How much for one?

　　Carrie : 票贵吗?一张票多少钱?

　　Hagrid : I paid about $25 last time.

　　Hagrid : 上次买是25美元。

　　Carrie : Okay. That’s not very expensive.

　　Carrie : 好，不太贵。

　　Hagrid : Yeah. We can go together sometime. It’ll be fun!

　　Hagrid : 嗯，有时间我们可以一起去，那会很有趣的!

　　Carrie : Sure. Let me know when.

　　Carrie : 好，到时候叫我。

　　Norman : I think Americans are crazy!

　　Norman : 我觉得美国人疯了!

　　Victor : What? Why do you think so?

　　Norman : Well, they play football and they call it soccer.

　　Norman : 嗯，他们玩足球，但却叫它“soccer”。

　　Victor : You guys play football and call it rugby!

　　Victor : 你们玩橄榄球，却叫它“rugby ”!

　　Norman : Well, your football is rugby, and your soccer is football.

　　Norman : 好了，你们的橄榄球是 rugby，你们的足球是football。

　　Victor : Norman, it’s America. We don’t follow the British rules.

　　Victor : Norman,这里是美国，我们不遵循英国的规矩。

　　Norman : And I don’t understand baseball at all. Why is the bat like a stick? Have you ever seen a cricket bat?

　　Norman : 我一点也不明白棒球。为什么蝙蝠像一个球棍?你见过板球棒吗?

　　Victor : A cricket bat? That’s the silliest thing I’ve ever heard.

　　Victor : 板球棒?那是我听过最蠢的东西了。

　　Norman : Why?

　　Norman : 为什么?

　　Victor : A cricket can’t bat, it’s an insect!

　　Victor :蟋蟀不能击球，蟋蟀是一种昆虫!

　　Norman : Oh Victor! (facepalm) You don’t know anything about sports in the rest of the world.

　　Norman :哦，Victor!(捂脸)你一点也不知道世界上别的地方的运动。

　　The Series.

　　Victor : Yo Sammy! Do you know we’re playing the qualifiers tomorrow?

　　Victor : 哟，Sammy!知道吗，我们明天要打预选赛了。

　　Sammy : Really? I thought it was day after!

　　Sammy :真的吗?我还以为是后天呢!

　　Victor : No man, it’s tomorrow, and if we win it, we’re gonna compete in the statewide!

　　Victor : 不是，伙计，是明天，我们要是赢了，我们就可以参加全国赛了!

　　Sammy : That’s cool man! You’re on the team, aren’t you?

　　Sammy :太酷了，伙计!你是队里的一员是吗?

　　Victor : Yeah. I am the quarterback.

　　Victor : 是的，我打四分卫。

　　Sammy : Good luck homie! I hope you guys win the game.

　　Sammy :祝你好运!我希望你们能打赢比赛。

　　Victor : Thanks man! Say what? You gonna be there watching us?

　　Victor : 谢谢，伙计!什么?你会到那儿看我们打比赛吗?

　　Sammy : Uh… I dunno man. What time is the game?

　　Victor : 4.30

　　Victor : 4：30。
