1.keep sth. up：使某事物保持在高水平，使某事物保持(在同一水平)，使不低落

e.g.:The high cost of raw materials is keeping prices up.

2.run on sth.：以......为主题或中心，围绕

e.g.:This meeting is totally running on this meaningless subject.
