well. i almost called sean and cancelled our date at the last minute. i just didn't feel up to it. i couldn't think of a good excuse though, and i didn't want to deen rude. then,realized that i was being stupid. of course i would have a bad time if i made up my ming beforehand that it would be bad.

约会前最后一刻，我几乎要打电话给西恩取消约会，但突然又不想这么做了。一来我想不到什么好借口，二来我也不想失礼。接着我突然明白自己好笨，如果我事先就一认定约会会失败，那当然就不可能成功啰。

when he picked me up he gave me flowers--a small bouquet of red tulips, my favorite. i thanked him and told him i love tulips. he looked so pleased that iliked them so much, i was gld that i made up my ming to give him a chance.

他来接我时，送了我一小束我最喜欢的红色郁金香。我谢谢他，并告诉他我很喜欢郁金香。他好像很满意我那么喜欢这些花，而我也很高兴并决定给他机会。
