Todd: Ivan, we are talking about your country, Indonesia. Can you recommend three Indonesian foods for people that visit your country?

托德：伊凡，我们来聊聊你的祖国印度尼西亚。你能为去印尼旅游的人们推荐三种印尼菜吗?

Ivan: Ooh, that can be a difficult question because we have lots of variety of foods and it depends on your taste. I mean, if you like sweet foods we have a specialty for that and if you like spicy food also there's a specialty for that, salty, anything, anything you want. But usually people go for… OK, first is Nasi Goreng. Nasi Goreng is a fried rice and I think it's quite popular anywhere else in the world if it goes for… if you want to promote Indonesian food. Yeah…

伊凡：哦，这是个很难的问题，因为我们有各式各样的美食，这要依每个人的口味而定。无论你是喜欢甜食、辛辣食物还是咸口食物，印尼都有专门的餐厅可以满足你的任何需求。不过通常人们会……嗯，我推荐的第一种食物是印尼炒饭。这是一种炒饭，我认为这道菜在世界各地都很受欢迎，可以推广印尼菜。

Todd: It's called Nasi Goreng?

托德：印尼炒饭吗?

Ivan: Nasi Goreng, yeah. Nasi is rice, goreng is fry.

伊凡：对，印尼炒饭。nasi在印尼语中是米饭的意思，goreng是炒的意思。

Todd: Oh, really?

托德：哦，真的吗?

Ivan: So it's fried rice.

伊凡：所以这道菜是炒饭。

Todd: Nasi Goreng.

托德：印尼炒饭。

Ivan: And then next one is Mi Goreng. Mi goreng is noodles. It's fried noodles, Mi and goreng. Mi is noodles and goreng is fry, yeah.

伊凡：下一道推荐菜是印尼炒面。mi的意思是面条。这道菜是炒面。mi是面条，goreng是炒。

Todd: OK, so Mi Goreng and Nasi Goreng.

托德：好，印尼炒饭和印尼炒面。

Ivan: Yeah, and last one is maybe Satay.

伊凡：对，最后一道菜是沙茶酱烤肉。

Todd: Oh, I think we call it Satay.

托德：哦，我想我们称之为沙茶。

Ivan: Yeah, Satay, yeah.

伊凡：对，沙茶，对。

Todd: But you say it differently.

托德：不过你们的说法不同。

Ivan: Yeah, Satay.

伊凡：也是沙茶啊。

Todd: You say it Satay also?

托德：你们也这么说吗?

Ivan: Yeah, Satay.

伊凡：是的，沙茶。

Todd: OK, and that's mainly chicken on a stick right?

托德：好，主要是烤鸡肉串，对吧?

Ivan: Chicken, you can go for chicken, you can go for meat, you can go for mutton, anything, liver, anything. And we usually have some kind of special sauce, or ketchup or whatever, like mixed with some weird stuff but… basically it's ketchup, chili, and salt and some ginger or whatever. Sometimes it's garlic and you just dip it inside and you eat it and it's really nice.

伊凡：鸡肉，可以烤鸡肉，还可以烤羊肉、猪肝等其它的肉。我们通常会制作特殊的酱汁，用番茄酱和其它各种调料混合，基本上是用番茄酱和辣椒、盐、生姜混合成特殊的酱汁。有时还会加大蒜，肉串蘸这种酱汁吃特别美味。

Todd: Oh that sounds really good.
