     A：I've made a tough decision.Here is my resignation.
     B：Why？I'm thinking about promoting you.
     A：To be honest，I've got a better offer.
     B：Congratulations！
     A：Thank you！I've really enjoyed working with you.However，I think it's about time for me to leave.
     A：我做了一个艰难的决定。这是我的辞呈。
     B：为什么？我正考虑给你升职呢。
     A：老实说，我有一个更好的工作机会。
     B：那恭喜你了！
     A：谢谢！真的很高兴能与你共事，但该是我离开的时候了

     （Kate wants to leave.）
     A：I've found a new position at another company.
     B：May I ask you why？
     A：Well，I feel I've grown professionally as much as I can here，and I need some new challenges.
     B：I see.Were there any other reasons？
     A：To be honest，the chances for advancement are good，and the money is just too good to turn down.
     B：I suppose it's too late to make any sort of counter offer.
     A：It was the chance of a lifetime，and I really felt I couldn't turn it down.
     B：Well，I'm sad to see you go.But I do want to wish you all the best in your new career.
     （凯特想要辞职。）
     A：我已经在另一家公司找到了一份新工作。
     B：为什么呢？
     A：唔，我觉得在这里能学到的专业知识已到了极限，我需要新的挑战。
     B：我懂了。还有其他的原因吗？
     A：老实说，新公司晋升的机会很好，而且薪水高得简直让人无法拒绝。
     B：我想，现在提出任何要让你改变心意的建议都为时太晚了。
     A：这是个一生难得的机会，我觉是实在无法拒绝。
     B：唔，你要走，我真的很难过，但我真心希望你新工作事事顺利。

     A：Hello！John.It's said that you're going to leave the company.Is it true？
     B：Yes，Mr.Smith.
     A：It comes as a bit of surprise.You know how much I value your work.Could you tell me why？
     B：To be honest，I want to work in a company with high pay and more chances for promotion.
     A：I'm sorry to hear that.You know our company is a newly-built one.Things will go better with development.
     B：Maybe.Thank you for your help，but I still want to leave the company to seek development.
     A：Then I hope everything turns out well.
     B：Thank you.
     A：你好！约翰。听说你要离开公司，是真的吗？
     B：是的，史密斯先生。
     A：这太突然了。你知道我很看重你的工作。你能告诉我为什么吗？
     B：说实话，我想去一家薪水高一些又有较多晋升机会的公司。
     A：听你这么说我非常遗憾。你知道我们公司刚成立不久。情况会随着发展好起来的。
     B：也许。谢谢您的关照。我还是想离开公司另谋发展。

     B：谢谢。

     A：Could you spare a few minutes？
     B：Sure.What do you need？
     A：Well，I wanted to let you know that I've put in my notice.
     B：Really？Why？
     A：Well，to be honest，I've got a better offer.
     B：Well，that's great news！Congratulations！Where will you be located？
     A：The head office is in New York，but I'll be dealing with overseas companies and flying to this side of the world from time to time.
     B：It'll be sad to see you go，but it sounds like you've found yourself a great opportunity.
     A：I have.I feel lucky.I look forward to dealing with overseas companies and at the same time having a chance to use English more.
     A：你能腾出几分钟时间吗？
     B：没问题，你需要什么？
     A：我想告诉你我辞职了。
     B：真的？为什么？
     A：嗯，坦白说，我有更好的选择了。
     B：啊，那可是个好消息！恭喜你！你要去哪里？
     A：那家公司的总部设在纽约，不过我要打理和海外公司的买卖，会经常飞回来的。
     B：你要走的话我会很难过，不过看来你找到了更好的机会。
     A：是的，我觉得很幸运。我一直希望能同海外公司做生意，并借机会多多锻炼英文。

     （The manager is talking with Mary.）
     A：I expect you know what I wanted to talk to you about.
     B：My letter of resignation，you mean？
     A：Well，yes.I thought you were happy here.
     B：I am.But they seem very keen，and it's a good offer.More pay，more responsibility.
     A：But still secretarial？
     B：Yes.
     A：Mary，how would you feel about a real challenge？To cut a long-story short，we've decided to create a new post.We're expanding fast，and we need someone to take on complete responsibility for getting orders to our customers.I'm told you're pretty good at that sort of thing.
     B：Yes，I've been doing quite a lot of it.
     A：So，how would you like to be our Transport Manager？
     （经理正与玛丽谈话。）
     A：我想你已经知道我打算和你谈些什么。
     B：您是说我的辞职信？
     A：是的。我原以为你在这里工作是愉快的。
     B：我是很愉快。可是他们显得非常恳切，而且工作也不错。工资比这里高，责任也更大。

     B：是的。
     A：玛丽，你愿意接受真正的挑战吗？长话短说，我们决定增设一个新的岗位。咱们公司发展得很快，因此，需要有人全面负责将货物运交客户的工作。据说你很擅长这方面的工作。
     B：是的，这种工作我做过不少。
     A：那么，你愿意担任公司的运输经理吗？
