根据安排，嫦娥六号任务将开展月球背面采样返回。迄今为止人类已进行的10次月球采样返回均位于月球正面，月球背面整体相对月球正面更为古老，且存在月球三大地体之一的艾特肯盆地，具有重要科研价值。嫦娥六号任务预选着陆区位于月球背面南极-艾特肯盆地，以期发现并采集不同地域、不同年龄的月球样品，增进人类对月球的认知。

In terms of international cooperation, the Chang'e-6 mission is equipped with payload and satellite projects from four countries, including France's radon detector, ESA's negative ion detector, Italy's laser angular reflector, and Pakistan's Cubic Star. At the same time, China is accelerating the promotion of the International Lunar Research Station's major scientific project and hopes that more international partners will join in expanding human cognitive territory, making contributions to the peaceful use of space and promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
在国际合作方面，嫦娥六号任务搭载了法国的氡气探测仪、欧空局的负离子探测仪、意大利的激光角反射镜、巴基斯坦的立方星等4个国家的载荷和卫星项目。与此同时，我国正加快推进国际月球科研站大科学工程，希望更多国际伙伴加入，共同拓展人类认知疆域，为和平利用太空、推动构建人类命运共同体。
