"Blue cycle" is a sustainable Marine plastic pollution control model explored and implemented in Zhejiang, which solves the problems of difficult collection of Marine plastic waste, high disposal cost, and low recycling rate. Visual traceability is one of the main innovation points of the "blue cycle" model, which uses digital technology to establish a full visual traceability "from the ocean to the shelf" to solve the problem of difficult certification of Marine plastic waste. As a result, the "blue cycle" model has been recognized by some multinational enterprises that actively participate in environmental governance and are willing to pay for the high-priced recycling of Marine plastics, realizing market-oriented recycling and turning Marine plastic waste into treasure.

“蓝色循环”是浙江探索实施的一个可持续海洋塑料污染治理模式，破解了海洋塑料废弃物收集难度大、处置成本高、回收利用率低等难题。可视化追溯是“蓝色循环”模式的主要创新点之一，利用数字化技术，建立了“从海洋到货架”的全程可视化追溯，解决了海洋塑料废弃物认证难的问题。由此，“蓝色循环”模式得到了一些积极参与环境治理，有意愿为海洋塑料高价回收付费的跨国企业的认可，实现了市场化的循环利用，让海洋塑料废弃物变废为宝。

At present, 80 Marine waste collection sites such as "Ocean Cloud Warehouse" and "Little Blue Home" have been established in Zhejiang coastal cities such as Taizhou, Zhoushan and Ningbo, covering more than 10,000 Marine fishing boats, merchant ships and parts of the coastline. More than 10,000 tons of Marine waste have been recovered since its operation. More than 2,200 tons of plastic waste.

“蓝色循环”于2020年开始在浙江探索，目前已经在台州、舟山、宁波等浙江沿海城市建立“海洋云仓”“小蓝之家”等一线海洋废弃物收集点位80个，覆盖10000多艘海洋渔船、商船和部分海岸线，运行以来已回收海洋废弃物10000多吨，其中塑料废弃物超2200吨。

The United Nations Environment Program has honored China's Blue Circle environmental initiative with the 2023 Champions of the Earth award for its innovative marine plastic treatment technology.

The Blue Circle initiative has gathered over 10,000 tons of marine debris, making it China's largest marine plastic waste program.
