Egypt's National Election Authority has declared that incumbent President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi won the 2024 presidential election with 89.6 percent of valid votes.

埃及国家选举委员会宣布，现任总统阿卜杜勒-法塔赫·塞西以89.6%的有效选票赢得2024年总统选举。

The Authority said more than 44 million citizens at home and abroad voted in the election.

According to the National Election Commission, 15,000 Egyptian judges and thousands of local and foreign observers will monitor the voting process.

Egypt's presidential election was held in two phases: overseas voting took place from December 1 to 3, while the three-day domestic voting ended on December 12. The other three candidates in the presidential election are the head of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, Ahmed Zahran, the head of the Egyptian Waffle Party, Yamai, and the head of the Egyptian Republican People's Party, Ahmed Hazem.

Sisi, 69, is a graduate of Egypt's military Academy. He served as Egyptian military attache to Saudi Arabia, commander of the Northern Military Region, director of Military Intelligence, and Minister of Defense. He was elected president in May 2014 and sworn in in June. He was re-elected in June 2018.
