The Sorrow of Love		爱的忧伤
The brawling of a sparrow in the eaves,		屋檐下一只麻雀的聒噪，
The brilliant moon and all the milky sky,		明明月色，如水的夜空，
And all that famous harmony of leaves,		片片树叶的优美的合唱，
Had blotted out man's image and his cry.		遮掩了人类的影像与哭声。
A girl arose that had red mournful lips		一位少女浮现，有着忧愁的红唇，
And seemed the greatness of the world in tears,		似乎世界的伟大尽飘在泪水之中，
Doomed like Odysseus and the labouring ships		命定，如奥德修斯与他的船队，
And proud as Priam murdered with his peers;		骄傲，如普里阿摩率部殉城。
Arose, and on the instant clamorous eaves,		浮现，在眼前这喧闹的屋檐，
A climbing moon upon an empty sky,		一轮月亮在空旷的天宇爬升，
And all that lamentation of the leaves,		还有片片叶子的阵阵哀歌，
Could but compose man's image and his cry.		组成了人类的影像与哭声。
