| O cloud-pale eyelids, dream-dimmed eyes, | 那云样的眼睑，梦样的瞳子啊！ |
| The poets labouring all their days | 诗人们日夜的辛勤 |
| To build a perfect beauty in rhyme | 用诗韵造就的倾国之美 |
| Are overthrown by a woman's gaze | 却被一个女人的眼神轻易击溃， |
| And by the unlabouring brood of the skies： | 被天穹里悠然的群星轻易击溃。 |
| And therefore my heart will bow, when dew | 于是，当露水打湿睡意， |
