雨
Watch after watch
一声声，
And drop by drop,
一更更，
The rain falls on banana leaves without stop.
窗外芭蕉窗里灯，
Within the window by the candlelight,
此时无限情。
For you I’m longing all night.
梦难成，
I cannot seek for dreams,
恨难平，
Nor banish sorrow.
不道愁人不喜听，
The rain cares not for what I dislike, it seems;
空阶滴到明。
On marble steps it drips until the morrow.
