最好、最大、最重要……看到这些形容词的最高级，你是不是立刻反应要用“the＋形容词est”或者“the most形容词”句型，象是the best、the biggest、the most important？你没有错，但这样的用法免不了会有一点儿夸张。就像中文里用了很多的“最好”“最棒”“最多”“最大”……夸张最大的弊病是让人不信。
（×）He is the most talented person in the best team.（他是最好的团队里最有才华的人。）
那么，该怎么讲出“最怎么样”的味道，又不必使用夸张的字眼呢？
1 the lion's share 最好、最大的一份
狮子是万兽之王，自然会分到最好、最多的一份。My elder brother inherited the lion's share of my parents’ property.（哥哥继承了父母遗产中最大的一份。）
2 top drawer 最高级的、最重要的
这是英国用法。drawer的意思是“抽屉”，top drawer是指“最上层的抽屉”，引申为“最高级、最重要”之意。I'd like to ask my boyfriend to take me out to some top-drawer restaurants.（我想要叫男友带我去一些顶级餐厅吃饭。）
3 state-of-the-art 最先进的
state-of-the-art是一个专业用语，意即“最先进、最尖端的”，通常用来形容科技产品。Michael bought a state-of-the-art smart phone yesterday.（迈克尔昨天买了一部最先进的智能手机。）
4 Achilles' heel 最弱的部分
Achilles（阿喀琉斯）是古希腊神话里的一名勇士，全身刀枪不入，唯独脚踝（heel）例外，因此Achilles’ heel就用来表示“罩门、最弱的部分”。English is my Achilles’ heel. I need to spend more time working on it.（英文是我最弱的部分，我需要多花一点儿时间来加强它。）
