词组讲解

1. get a hand for sth. / get a hand **因…得到喝彩

解 习语；词义溯源：获得对某事物的［鼓掌（hand）］；这里的hand多数情况下与big，good，nice等形容词一起使用；参照give sb. a hand for sth.

例 If you get a big hand for your performance, that's not enough. For me, the mark of a great performance is having the audience on their feet shouting “Encore, Encore!” Ah, I live for that sound.
