词组讲解
1. get after sb. ***一再要求，一再催促；责怪
解 〈口〉短语动词；词义溯源：［跟在后面（after）］走；参照keep 〔stay〕 after sb.
例 Could you get after Jimmy for not doing his house chores before going out to play with his friends? He listens to you more than me.
2. get along on a shoestring / get along **勉强糊口；生活拮据

例 Igot along on a shoestring for eight years while I was saving up money to buy a home. I didn't go anywhere or do anything—no movies, no eating out, no vacations. My budget was very tight then, but now I have my own home.
