1. get into 〔be in〕 a mess **陷入困境,处于混乱状态

解 习语;词义溯源:处于[混乱状态(mess)][中(in)];参照get out of a mess

例 Watch your finances carefully while you're on this trip. I don't want you to find yourself stuck somewhere in Europe with no money. I got into that mess when I was a university student. I took a backpack tour of Asia. It was supposed to be for three weeks, but by the end of the second week, I didn't even have enough money to get home.

2. get into full swing 〔high gear〕 **达到活动高潮;全力进行

解 习语;词义溯源:进入[最大活动量(full swing)或最活跃(high gear)]的状态[中(into)]

例 The World Cup USA got into full swing this week when four games, involving eight of the twenty-four teams, were played simultaneously at four different stadiums.

3. get into sth. ***参与;干预

解 短语动词;词义溯源:进入某物[里面(into)];参照be into sth.

例 Ithink people who get into causing pain to others are mentally ill or just downright evil. In either case, they ought to be permanently removed from society.

4. get into the swing of things **积极投入工作;对(工作等)开始熟悉,对…入门

解 习语;词义溯源:进入事物的[摆动、节奏(swing)][里面(into)]

例 About the third week the new recruits start getting into the swing of things. That's when the sergeants change everything in their daily routine and move their quarters. “It trains them that in a time of war, nothing remains the same. 5. get lost *迷路,迷失方向;走开,滚开

解 俚语;词义溯源:成为[迷失的(lost)]状态;常用于祈使句

例 Just tell him to get lost if he comes around again. If he doesn't listen to you, call the police and they'll arrest him for harassment.
