1. get off on the wrong foot 〔to a bad start〕 **扣错第一颗纽扣;出师不利

解 习语;词义溯源:[在恶劣环境下(on the wrong foot)] [off(向前)]走去;参照be off on the wrong foot, be off to a bad start

例 We got off on the wrong foot when Wu Jin kicked the ball into the visiting team's net in the second minute of the game. After that, the whole game was nothing but a series of mistakes.

2. Get off one's case 〔back, tail〕! *一个人待着!不要烦人!

解 俚语;词义溯源:从某人的[问题(case)或后背(back)或尾巴(tail)][脱离(off)]而走;一般用于祈使句

例 Walter, could I speak with you? I think you'd better get off Hornsby's back—at least for a while. He's not mentally stable. Too much pressure and there's no telling what he might do.

3. get on one's nerves **使…发脾气,影响…的情绪
