1.Novel Coronavirus /kə,rəunə'vaiərəs/ 新型冠状病毒

2019-nCoV 2019新型冠状病毒

N stands for novel.

*novel不仅仅是有小说的意思哟，还有“新奇的，新颖的”意思

2.Pneumonia /nu:ˈmoʊniə/ 肺炎

*P is silent before n and s.

字母p在n和s之前都是不发音的。

比如：psychology /saɪˈkɑːlədʒi/ 心理学，p也是不发音的。

3.Confirmed cases 确诊病例

People who have the disease for sure.

4.Suspected case 疑似病例

*suspected /səˈspektɪd/ adj.有嫌疑的，疑似……的

There is just a chance of carrying the virus.有携带病毒的可能性

5.Patient in critical condition重症患者

*patient /ˈpeɪʃnt/ n. 病人

6.Fatality rate 死亡率

死亡率也可以用mortality rate来表达。

用法： have close contact with…. 跟…有密切接触

The novel coronavirus is infected from one person to another.
