很多人建立业务关系的效果往往取决于第一次的交往。首先,介绍自己公司的材料信息要丰富、扎实,能抓住对方的兴趣,使人觉得有利可图。其次,要详细出为什么要建立这种业务关系,以及会给双方带来多大的利益。再次,对未来要有清楚的商业规划。对方如果感兴趣会接着问你很多细节。因此必须充分准备,对自己的情况和未来规划一清二楚。同时还要把自己的团队介绍好,有些人十分看重团队的资格和素质。

接着可以邀请对方访问自己的公司。除了详细介绍外,还要带对方参观,这样才能给对方好的印象。处处从小事做起,完善每个细节才能更有把握获得对方的信赖,并最终成功建立业务关系。

pay attention to是重视,注重的意思。例如:The candidate must pay attention to their behavior.候选人应该注重自己的举止。

interest in是一个常见的搭配,表示对……感兴趣。

当有意建立往来的时候你会说

assure在此处是保证的意思,诚恳的态度是合作成功不可或缺的前提。

coincide with是符合,与……相一致的意思。

A:What's your purpose of your coming here?

你们来这儿的目的是什么?

look forward to在此处的作用相当于expect,表示“期望,盼望”。

找负责人

A:Can I see your chief?

我能见一见你们的负责人吗?

B:I am the person who is in charge of the department.

我就是这个部分的负责人。

Are you the chief here?

你是这里的负责人吗?

Is your chief in at the moment?

你们的负责人现在在这吗?

in charge of是指掌管,负责的意思。此处应注意与in the charge of的区别,in the charge of是指由……掌管,由……负责。例如:The project is in the charge of an experienced worker.这项工程是由一位有经验的工人负责的。

询问信息

A:Is there anything I can show you now?

有什么事情需要我现在告诉你的吗?

B:You're developing a new system, really?

你们在开发一套新系统,是真的吗?

May we ask the names of your banks?

能否请问贵公司往来银行的名称?

We'd like to see your annual report for the last three years.

我们想看看贵公司过去3年来的年度报告。

I have little information about your toys.

我对你们的产品知道的不多。

so that是“以便”的意思。例如:He got up early so that he could catch the first bus.他早早就起床了,以便能赶上首班公共汽车。

合作意向

A:We are willing to enter into business relations with your firms.

我们愿与贵公司建立业务关系。

B:Your desire to establish direct business relations with us coincides with ours.

你方愿意与我方建立贸易关系,这正合我意。

Having been deeply interested in the quality of your products, we are desirous of opening an account with you.

本公司对贵方的产品质量一直很感兴趣,欲与贵方进行交易。

We hope to trade with you.

我们希望跟你们做生意。

We are willing to enter into business relationship with your company on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.

我们愿意在平等互利的基础之上与贵公司建立业务关系。

trade with sb.是指与某人做生意

enter into是“进入”的意思。在本句中,直译就是“进入业务关系”,实际上也就是“建立业务关系”的意思。

场景应用

卡尔先生第一次来中国,他想和吴先生的公司建立业务关系。但由于对中国的对外贸易政策不是很了解,所以需要吴先生的介绍来解除自己的顾虑。

A:Nice to meet you, Mr. Wu.

B:Nice to meet you, too. I understand this is your first visit to our company.

A:Yes, and also my first trip to China.

B:I hope you've had a pleasant trip.

A:I did, thank you. The main purpose of my coming here is to inquire about possibilities of establishing trade relations with your company.

B:What line of business are you in?

A:We mainly trade in arts and crafts. I learned from the ads that you manufacture and sell this kind of products.

B:Yes, we do. You've come to right place. We're the biggest arts and crafts manufacturing company in Asia. Our products are easy on the eyes, and they compares favorably with those of other countries in both quality and price.

A:I'm glad to hear that. But you know this is my first visit to China and also my first time to make contact with you. So I'd like to know something about your foreign trade policy.

B:Our foreign trade policy has been based on equality and mutual benefit and exchange of needed goods. Establishing business relations between us will be good for our mutual benefit.

A:That's very nice.

A:见到您很高兴,吴先生。

B:见到您我也很高兴。我知道这是您第一次来我们公司。

A:是的,这也是我第一次来中国。

B:希望您旅途愉快。

A:我很愉快,谢谢。我此行的主要目的是想了解一下与贵公司建立业务关系的可能性。

B:你们主要经营什么?

A:我们公司主要经营工艺品。我从广告上得知你们生产和销售这种产品。

B:是的,你来对地方了。我们是亚洲最大的工艺品制造公司。我们的产品很吸引人,并且在品质和价格上足以同任何国家的产品相比。

A:听到这些我很高兴。但是您知道,这是我第一次来中国,也是第一次和你们打交道。因此我想了解一下你们的对外贸易政策。

B:我们的对外贸易政策一直是建立在平等互利和互通有无的基础上的。我们之间建立业务关系对双方都非常有利。

A:那非常好。

easy on the eyes表示好看,吸引人,既可指人也可指物。从字面上看,该习语很像汉语中的一个常用语“很容易上眼”,引申义即为“好看,吸引人”。多可用来表示某物很美,很吸引人。对顾客来说精美的广告往往比较容易吸引眼球。在今天这个时代,该习语是仍然比较常用的为数不多的俭朴说法之一。

李先生给美国的泰勒先生发了邮件介绍了自己的产品,泰勒先生对产品很感兴趣,特意来到ABC公司,找到李先生面谈。

A:I found some of your products to be fine in quality and beautiful in design. And I've gone over the catalogue and the pamphlets enclosed in your last letter. I've got some idea of your exports. Your silk blouses turn me on.

B:Our silk is known for its good quality. It is one of our traditional exports. Silk blouses are brightly colored and beautifully designed. They've met with great favor overseas and are always in great demand.

A:Some of them seem to be of the latest style. Now I've a feeling that we can do a lot of trade in this line. We wish to establish relations with you.

B:Your desire coincides with ours.

A:Concerning our financial position, credit standing and trade reputation, you may refer to Beijing Bank, or to our local Chamber of Commerce or inquiry agencies.

B:Thank you for your information. As you know, our corporation is a stateoperated one. We always trade with foreign countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. Establishing business relations between us will be to our mutual benefit. I have no doubt that it will bring about closer ties between us.

A:That sounds interesting. I'll send a fax back. As soon as I receive a definite answer, I'll make a specific inquiry.

B:We'll then make an offer as soon as possible. I hope a lot of business will be conducted between us.

A:你们有些产品质量不错,设计又美观。我已看过你上次在信中所附的目录和小册子,对贵公司的出口产品有了一些了解。我对你们的丝绸女衫颇感兴趣。

B:我们的丝绸以品质优良著称。丝绸是我们的传统出口商品之一。丝绸女衫色彩鲜艳、设计美观,在国外很受欢迎,需求量一直都很大。

A:有些看来还是最新的式样。现在我感觉我们在这方面可以做不少买卖。我们希望同贵公司建立业务关系。

B:我们双方的愿望是一致的。

A:关于我们的财务状况、信用及声誉,你们可以向北京银行、我们的当地商会或代理商进行了解。

B:谢谢你所提供的情况。我们公司是国营公司,我们一向是在平等互利的基础上进行外贸生意,我们之间建立业务关系将对双方有利。我相信它也将使我们之间的关系更为密切。

A:太好了,我会发一份传真回去。一收到明确的答复,我就进行具体的询价。

B:到时我们一定尽快报价。我希望我们之间能做成很多生意。

例如:This town is known for its handwork.

这个城市以其手工制品闻名。

in great demand需求量很大

例如:They are the latest fashion and they are in great demand.

它们是最新的式样,需求量很大。

on the basis of根据,在……的基础上

例如:The practice was often justified on the basis of economics.

实践往往是根据经济决定的。
