1．双方企业在一宗交易中既包括进口也包括出口。进口的目的为了创造出口。

2．由于来料和来件都属于海外客户，从货物离开国外的目的地开始直到它们以成品的形式运出期间，海外客户都应为货物购买必要的保险，以防止货物可能受到的各种风险。

3．海外客户既是原料和部件的出口商又是成品的进口商，中国企业既是原料和部件的进口商又是成品的出口商。

as plain as a pikestaff很明显，非常清楚

Pikestaff是一种武器，称作“长矛”或是“长枪”，有很长的柄（staff），不容易藏，很容易被敌人发现，因此衍生出“如长矛般清楚明显”的意思。

关于这个成语的起源，还有其他的说法。有些人认为，pikestaff是15、16世纪时，旅行者使用的行路杖。杖的一端呈尖头状，有防滑的作用。在旅行者长期使用后，尽头处会被磨得“光滑”，而这也是该短语最原始的意义。

cut a deal并不是指“切断、撕破一个交易”，相反地，它是指“合作双方达成一个协议，决定成交”。这源于古代原始部落的狩猎活动。当时要捕猎大型动物，没有许多人的合作是不行的。在协商的时候，酋长或族长都要杀一些小动物，然后切成块儿分给大家表示达成协议。
