The pie chart above illustrates consumers' attitudes towards domestic brands of milk powder: 80.77% of consumers have a deep distrust, 10.9% don't care much either way, 0.64% would continue to buy domestic brands while 7.69% hope that things will improve in the future.
In recent years, it was found that a domestic brand had melamine in its baby formula. Some milk powder products of another brand contained carcinogens. And some baby formula made in China was being marketed under brand names registered abroad and some brands were claiming their products were imported. The result has been that many consumers have voted with their feet and turned away from domestic brands to foreign brands. This lack of professional ethics in the workplace, while providing short-term financial gain always leads to long-term losses when the public, as inevitably it does, finds out about these fake and inferior products.
Once a domestic brand loses the confidence of its consumers then it is almost impossible to gain it back. It is far better for domestic brands to concentrate on improving their work ethics which will lead to quality products.

一个国产品牌一旦失去了消费者的信任，就几乎不可能赢回信任了。国产品牌最好把精力放在提高自己的从业道德上，这样才能生产出优质产品。
