As can be seen in the picture, a man who stands on a pile of ladders that lie across the ground, tries his utmost to go beyond the wall. In fact, he could make it simply by lifting up a single ladder. Obviously the man fails to take good advantage of resources. 1 The same is true of many individuals and companies. 2
As for individuals 3 , many are prone to turn a blind eye to their existing resources. Take college students for example. Some look down upon their own colleges and professors, dreaming of going abroad for further study. However, it is advisable for them to make good use of the existing resources of their own colleges before they have a better chance of getting further study.
For some companies 3 , decision-makers failed to make the most of their existing resources and blindly pursued new resources at any cost. They wrongly believed that the more resources their companies own, the more profits the companies will obtain. Actually, making good use of them counts more than taking possession of them.
