ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has once stimulated considerable fervor among celebrities at home and abroad. 1 What they have done makes it possible for the public to know more about ALS and people who suffer from it. 2 However, there is no consensus among people about the ice bucket challenge. 3

Some believe that the ice bucket challenge is a meaningful charity activity and full of fun as well. The celebrities participate in the challenge to expand its influence, bringing appreciable donations and attracting more people to pay attention to the people who suffer from ALS. 4 Others think it is more entertaining than charitable because the activity has been reduced to a low-cost celebrity show, which wastes too much water and has nothing to do with charity. 4

In my point of view 5 , I firmly advocate this charity activity. Not only does it offer a chance for the sick to be known, it also reminds us to pay attention to those who are in need. The humanitarian spirit and kindness will benefit us throughout our life. I believe if the ice bucket challenge could be more environment-friendly, the voice of disapproval will die down.
