　　Adopted from the streets by King of Persia, young Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) grows up amongst royalty and quickly earns his place as a mighty warrior and prince.     Prince of Persia: The Sands is based on the 2003 video game of the same name, developed and released by Ubisoft Montreal. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time debuted #2 at the box office behind Shrek Forever After (in its second weekend). A week later the film was released in the rest of the world and it became the leader of worldwide box office, while reaching the #1 spot in 40 of the 47 countries.
