英国救援“外来物种”——橙色海鸥

An orange-coloured seagull has attracted worldwide attention after rescuers mistook it for an exotic bird.

近日，一只橘黄色的海鸥因被救援人员误认为是一种外来鸟类而引起了全世界的关注。

Images from the UK-based Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital Facebook page show the seagull being scrubbed of the orange substance it mysteriously became covered in.

来自英国Tiggywinkles野生动物医院Facebook页面的图片显示，这只海鸥身上覆盖的神秘橙色物质被擦洗掉了。

It's unknown what the orange substance was - but it looked so much like a Vindaloo sauce the bird was named "Vinny".

目前还不知道这种橙色物质是什么，但它看起来很像一种文达卢酱，所以这只鸟被命名为“文尼”。

The post about Vinny appeared last week, saying it was one of the "strangest casualty circumstances" it had seen in a while.

"This bright-orange herring gull was rescued by kind members of the public," the post says.

“这只亮橙色的海鸥被善良的公众救出来了!”邮报报道。

"When they called to say they had picked up an orange bird, we had no idea what to expect - and never would have guessed this!"

Facebook commenters were delighted by the bird.

脸书的网友们显然也被这只鸟逗乐了。

"Looks like the bird in Harry Potter in the first pic - glad he is on the mend," one said.

"I'm not going to lie, it did make me laugh that it managed to turn itself that colour. You guys do a great job the bird is in the best hands," another wrote.

The hospital says the bird is on the mend and will soon be released.

医院表示，这只鸟正在康复，很快就会出院。
