老子《道德经》英译第二十一章

　　【原文】

　　孔德之容，惟道是从。

　　道之为物，惟恍惟惚。惚兮恍兮，其中有象;恍兮惚兮，其中有物。窈兮冥兮，其中有精;其精甚真;其中有信。

　　自今及古，其名不去，以阅众甫。吾何以知众甫之状哉?以此。

　　【现代汉语】

　　‘道’对于物质世界作用的体现是极其巨大的，它的运作轨迹，完全依照着‘道’的准则。

　　‘道’本身是若有若无，不可形容的。‘道’虽然恍惚无形，却引发物质世界的所有现象，虽然恍惚无形，却孕育创造了宇宙万物。‘道’是如此深远暗昧，却产生了创造世界的最微小的原质;这最微小的原质是非常真实具体的，它是能够被验证为可信的。

　　从现在上溯到远古，‘道’是始终存在的，我们依据它去探寻万物的起源。我是如何知道万物起始的情形呢?就是通过‘道’来认知的。

　　The effect to practical world from 'Tao' is grand and huge. The track of its movement follows 'Tao' absolutely.

　　'Tao' itself is immesurable and inexpressible. 'Tao' arouses all phenomena of the world although it is so immesurable; 'Tao' gestates and creates the universe although it is so inexpressible; 'Tao' is far-reaching and dark, but the smallest micro hypostasis that creates the world is come from it. The smallest micro hypostasis is true and it could be proved authentic.

　　To trace back to ancient times from today, 'Tao' is existent all the time. We can explore the genesis of universe through the 'Tao'. How can I know the status of the genesis of all things? I study it through the principle of Tao's.

　　老子讲科学了——“‘道’是如此深远暗昧，却产生了创造世界的最微小的原质;”——纯科学!

　　对圣人之所以信服的五体投地，无以复加，就是因为这个。他的知识、智慧是从哪里来的呢?可能天生的，用老百姓的土话讲就是“胎里带”。对照佛祖释迦牟尼的语录：“三千大千世界”……他又是如何得知呢?而且绝不是妄语，是被科学证实了的(几千以后)。
