二、形容词的比较级
形容词表示事物性质在程度上分为三种形式：原级、比较级和最高级。
表示二者比较时用比较级，意思为“比……”，如：She is shorter than me.她比我矮。表示三者以上的比较时，用最高级，意思为“最……”，如：She is the shortest in our class.她是我班最矮的。

（二）形容词的用法
1.形容词的原级
形容词的原级用于两个人或事物的比较。
肯定句：A+动词+as+形容词原级+as+B，意思是“A和……B一样”。
Clare is as tall as her mother.克莱尔和她母亲一样高。
Jenny's bag is as big as Andy's.简妮的包和安迪的包一样大。
This white blouse is as cheap as that yellow one.这件白衬衫和那件黄的一样便宜。
否定句：A+动词+not+as+形容词原级+as+B或
A+动词+not+so+形容词原级+as+B 意思是“A不如B……”
Clare is not as （so）tall as her mother.克莱尔没有她母亲高。
The weather in Shanghai is not as （so）hot as the weather in Fujian.上海的天气没有福建热。
This toy robot is not as （so）expensive as that toy panda.这个玩具机器人没有那个玩具熊猫贵。
The food wasn't as delicious as yesterday.今天的饭菜没有昨天的好吃。
2.形容词的比较级
形容词的比较级用于两个人或事物的比较。
结构为：形容词比较级+than，意思是“比……更……”。
Tim is taller than his father.蒂姆比他的父亲高。
The box is heavier tha n that one.这个盒子比那个重。
This story is more interesting than that one.这个故事比那个有趣多了。
形容词比较级+and+形容词比较级 意思是“……越来越……”。
It's getting hotter and hotter .天气变得越来越热了。
She runs faster and faster .她跑得越来越快了。
Tips：
1.比较级有时可以单独使用
Who is taller？谁更高一点？
This shirt is more expensive.这件衬衫比较贵。
2.the more ...the more ...越……越……
The busier she is，the happier she feels.她越忙越高兴。
The more books you read，the more knowledge you gain.你书读得越多，获得的知识就越多。
3.more不可修饰比较级，但可以用much来加强比较级，意为“……得多” “更……”。
She looks much taller than I.她看上去比我高得多。但我们不能说“She looks more taller than I.”
3.形容词的最高级
（1）形容词的最高级用于三个或三个以上人或事物的比较。形容词最高级的前面通常要加定冠词the，后面跟一个短语或从句来表示比较的范围。
结构：the+形容词最高级+of（in）表示“在……中最……”的意思
The Yangtzi River is the longest river in China.长江是中国最长的河。
Tom is the tallest boy of the three.汤姆在三个男孩子中最高。
Tom is the tallest boy in the class.汤姆是班上最高的男孩。
（in和of用于最高级结构中的区别：如主语和比较范围一致，一般用of，后接数词或可数名词复数；如主语属于比较的一部分用in，in后一般是可数名词的单数。）
（2）有时在形容词最高级前可以有序数词以及much，almost，by far，等。
The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.黄河是中国第二长河。
（3）结构“one of+the+形容词最高级+名词”表示“ 最……之一”的意思。
London is one of the largest cities in the world.伦敦是世界上最大的城市之一。
（4）在作表语的形容词最高级前，如果不是和别的人（事、物）进行比较，可以不加冠词。
Vegetables are best when they are fresh.蔬菜新鲜的时候最好。
Tips：
1.表示“最高程度”的形容词，如excellent非常好，perfect完美等，没有最高级，也没有比较级形式。
