Our top story, Arizona Republican John McCain took the senate floor earlier today to call for US-led airstrike on Syria, saying that overthrowing the regime of Basha Assad would also help stablize the Middle east. "The regime in Syria serves as a main forward operating base of the Iranian regime in the heart of Arab World. It has supported Palestinian terrorist groups, and found arms of all kinds including tens of thousands of rockets to Hezbollah in the Lebanon.

McConnell says the town has been turned upside down by Friday's severe storm. "It was a scene of total devastation. The whole community has either been evacuated or in the process of being evacuated."
