44课 Through the forest

Mrs. Anne Sterling did not think of the risk she wastaking when she ran through a forest after two men.Theyhad rushed up to her while she was having apicnic at the edge of a forest with her children andtriedto steal her handbag. In the struggle, the strapbroke and, with the bag in their possession, bothmen started running through the trees. Mrs. Sterlinggot so angry that she ran after them. She was soonout of breath, but shecontinued to run. When shecaught up with them, she saw that they had satdown and were going through the contents of the bag, so she ran straight at them. The mengot such a fright that they dropped the bag andran away. 'The strap needs mending,'said Mrs. Sterling later, 'but they did not steal anything.'

语言点 need doing用主动形式表示被动意思：
