有关heart的若干条重要搭配

1. 表示“心”“心脏”，汉语的“心脏病”说成英语是 heart trouble [disease]；表示心脏的跳动通常用动词 beat。

2. 比较 lose heart 与 lose one’s heart：两者只差一个物主代词，但含义截然不同：前者意为“灰心”，后者意为“倾心于”“爱上”。如：

So don’t lose heart whatever you do. 不管你做什么你都不要灰心。

She lost her heart to the handsome guy. 她爱上了这个漂亮的小伙子。

3. 用于 by heart, 意为“默记地”“记下”，通常与 know, learn, get 等动词连用。如：

The boy learned the poem by heart. 这男孩背下了这首诗。

We had better learn by heart as many sentence patterns as we can. 我们最好尽可能多背句型。
