Hi,guys,how are you,so glad to see you guys,you guys have a good night!I have to say,that it`ssuch an honor to be here.It is ......I`m so happy to be here.
I’mlikeanerd and brought my own speech .ButIhope it’s ok that I take the opportunity to reallyjust spend with you guys and tell you a little bit about my story.
I’mnot an activist,I haven’t changed the world or leda campaign .I’mhere to just tell you my path,so that you hopefully can take something away from it,because I don’t like being honest with....this is truth,I don’t like being honest with press and interviews, I like being honest with you directly,which is each and everyone of you.
Because Ifeel like Ican and I`mjust goingstart with a basics,so I`m21,and my momhad hahahaha,my mom had me when she was 16,and I`m from grandprairie,texas, and she worked four jobsand completely dedicated her life intomaking mine better.
So to me ,she is a definition of a strong women, and Ilove her so much because she`staught me those values so much.emm.Thank you.Ihave been acting my entire life and Ihave known since Iwas first on Barney,you know that purple dinosaur, he`s great.
Youguys are so motivated,Ifeel like Ican say anything,huhhuhhuh.when Iwas 11,the point being that when Iwas 7,Iwanted tobe an actress,and Iwanted to live my dream,and when Iwas 11,Ihad a casting director tell me that Iwas not strong enough to carry my own show.
AndI`m sure all of you have been told that you don’t have what takes,ans you may not be good enoughand you don’t have enough people supporting you,and you’ve been told all of these things when deep down,it`s all you wanna do ,you wanna be a part of something great,you wanna make something great,and it does more than not the wind out of you and crashes you,when people try to tell you that you’re not good enough.
And it almost did for me,but there was my mom next to me stronger than ever,and she said the most important thing is to always trust in myself,if Ihave,If I`m doing something because Ilove it.,Ishould do it because Ilove it,and Ibelieve Ican do it.
So she told me to keep going.Thank you.she told me and she taught me to turn the other cheek and let the credits, thecritics be critics.and let us just trust ourselves. So for me,thank you .two years later,Igot my own show,and the first thought ,the first thought wasn’t ,oh ,man,that girl whenIwas 11 said that Iwouldn’t carry my own show.and Idid.Imean Ithought about that for a little bit,but Ithought about what my mom said,my mom islike you have to trust yourself.
And Irealized that if Ididn`tbelieve that Icoulddo it.Iwould be able to be here.and Ihave...I’mgonna,I’mgonna say Ilive a very bless life,Ihave so much to be thankful for ,and a lot of you are a big part of inspiring me because Idon’t think you get it, and may be you’re told enough,but you’re inspire me to be better.And we should inspire each other to be better.
I`m surrounded by people who are supposedto guide me ,and some of them have,and others haven’t.they pressure me ,there are so much pressure,you`ve gotbe sexy,you`ve gotbe cute ,you`ve gotbe nice,you`ve gotbe all thesethings.
And I’msure you can allrelate,you all have pressure that you have to deal with everyday.I`m sure withschool,withwork ,with friends,with parents ,with family,with parents.l know,sometimeswith mine.
Theytell me whattowear,how to look,what Ishould say,how Ishould be. until recently,Ihave given into that pressure,Ilost sightof who Iwas.Ilisten to opinions of people,and Itriedto change who Iam because Ithought the others would accept me for it.
AndIrealizedIdon’t know how to be anything but myself.and all Ireally want youto know is that you’re changing the world,I’mnot changing the world,you’re changing the world,and that’s amazing.
Please,please just be kind to each other,and love and inspire people,because let’s do it ,let’s do it,let’s change the game ,let’s change the game.The most important thing is that we learn and we can continue to learn from each other.Pleasestay true to yourself.please just remain who you are,and know that we have each other back,all of us have each other`sback.
I`d be lying ifIsaid that I never triedto make myself betterbygiven in,because Ihave,but I’ve learned from my actions,and for all the things I’ve done I’mproudestof that,I`ve learned from my mistakes,Iwant you to know what it`s like thatIknow what it is like.Figuringout what typesof friends you have,you are who surround yourself with.
So Ijust wanna say Ihope Ican inspire each everyone of you to just trust in yourselves,to loveand to beloved,and thank you for allowing metocome up andrambleand talk to you guys because this is such a beautifulthingyou’re doing,be proud of yourselves.This is great!
