中国足球大亨收购千禧年影业交易延迟
阿斯顿维拉(Aston Villa)足球俱乐部的中国老板宣布，他计划用一家私人公司收购好莱坞制片公司千禧年影业(Millennium Films)，以绕过限制对外投资的新规定。
Recon Group, football mogul Tony Xia’s listed company, on Thursday told the Shenzhen stock exchange that it had terminated its purchase of a controlling stake in Millennium Films. Recon had announced its $100m acquisition in February.
足球大亨夏建统(Tony Xia)的上市公司联合睿康集团(Recon Group)周四对深交所表示已终止对千禧年影业控股股权的收购，该公司在今年2月曾宣布了这笔1亿美元的收购方案。
The decision came because of delays in legal process due to Millennium Films’ large number of subsidiaries and intellectual property rights, Recon said.
联合睿康表示之所以作出这一决定是因为由于千禧年影业的大量子公司和知识产权导致法律程序推迟。
But Mr Xia took to Twitter to refute reports that the deal was off. 但夏建统在Twitter上反驳了关于交易取消的报道。
“It’s not accurate. We changed another entity not pub listed firm 2continue the deal as the new Chinese policy of Film Industry restriction,” Mr Xia tweeted.
他在Twitter上写道：“这并不准确。由于中国对电影业出台了新的限制政策，我们从上市公司换成另一个实体以继续这笔交易。”
Chinese investors who want to acquire overseas assets in sectors that have been restricted by the government — including movies and sports — have turned to offshore vehicles and financing.
电影和体育等领域的海外收购已受到中国政府限制，想在这些领域收购海外资产的中国投资者已转向离岸工具和融资。
As these deals do not involve capital outflow from China — a sensitive point for authorities — they do not require explicit approval from Beijing.

“Though there’s many things not we like, esp for ppl educated overseas. You still love your home country,” Mr Xia continued on Twitter.

Mr Xia could not be reached for comment. A Recon Group representative said he had no knowledge of a private deal being struck separate to Recon’s termination of the deal.
