China's third largest mobile phone player has seen a sharp decrease in users as its two competitors record consistent growth.

China Telecom has reported a subscriber loss of 950,000 in May, while China Mobile added 3.3 million 4G users and 4.3 million 3G users, and China Unicom gained another 2.7 million subscribers to its services during the same month.
