so that, so...that 与 such...that

1.so that 前面我们已经说过，可以引导目的状语或者结果状语从句。这里主要讲一下so...that 与 such...that的用法。

2.so...that 主要引导结果状语从句，意为“如此......以致于”，在这里so 是副词，其后接形容词或副词，说明程度的大小。

The story was so funny that it made everybody laugh.
这个故事太滑稽了，把大家都逗笑了。

He had so many falls that he was black and blue all over.
他摔了很多跤，以致于全身上下青一块，紫一块的。

He runs so fast that nobody can catch up with him.
他跑得非常快，没人能追上他。

3.such...that 这里的such是形容词，其后可以接三种形式。

1) such＋a(an)＋adj.＋单数可数名词＋that…clause
