词组讲解

1. have something up one's sleeve *达成秘密计划(或解决方案)

解 俚语;词义溯源:有东西[在袖子里(up one's sleeve)]

例 You have to understand their culture here. What they did was not unethical in any way to them. You're accusing them of having something up their sleeve—and they did, but in their country that is normal and even expected.

2. have sth. hanging over one's head **受到灾难(或危险)的威胁;担心
