笑话文化解读
美国的大学生在进入大学时并无专业之分,在美国大学里很强调通才教育,反对过早专业化,一二年级没有明显的专业区别,文理科学生选上同样的美国大学课程。美国规定文科大学生必须在人文科学(文学、史学、哲学)、自然科学、社会科学(社会学、经济学、管理学)、艺术等四个领域中分别选修若干课程。
学生在经过比较广泛的教育后,能够更加清楚地了解自己,了解社会以及了解各个学科的内涵。因此只有到了大学三年级,学生才有机会选择自己所感兴趣的专业,并且一般会有一个学术顾问给学生指导。在确定了专业后,学生开始学习专业课程。
美国高等学校实行学分制。教师在每学期开始时给学生布置大量的阅读书目和材料,培养学生自学和学术研究能力,在此基础上争取获得每科6-18个学分,四年制的本科生要想获得学士学位,必须按规定修满120~128个学分,通过考试和撰写学位论文,合格后才能获得学位。
