【语法用法】
通常来说recording=record，都可以解释为“录音，被录的音或唱片，录制品”，但是有时候虽然指同一样东西，着重点不同。recording着重在“音”，record着重在“唱片或录制品”。

impact主要指“冲击，对主语碰撞的影响”，如the impact of science on/upon moderndevelopment(科技对于现代发展的影响)。注意句中science后的介词用on或upon;
impact作名词时，其所在的句子常用过去时。

错句: That figure no longer carry any political impact.
订正: That figure no longer make an impact politically.
翻译: 那位人物不再有政治影响力。
分析: impact不能与carry搭配,应该与make搭配。
【词义辨析】
shock, impact, collision, clash
这些名词均含“冲击，碰撞”之意。
shock指强烈冲击在肉体上或思想感情上所产生的效果。
impact正式用词，侧重指物体相撞的结果或接触点。
collision指物体相撞，其结果不是受损就是严重受阻。
clash通常指两个或多个物体，特别是金属物发出刺耳声音或破裂声的撞击。也可引申指意见、利益等的冲突。
